£23bn Means Bosses Should Show Their Appreciation

10.22.00pm GMT Wed 25th Feb 2004

Commenting on the TUC report, which shows that employees across the UK contribute £23bn in unpaid overtime, Malcolm Bruce MP, Liberal Democrat Shadow DTI Secretary, said: "The British are traditionally hard workers, but not always rewarded enough for their efforts."

"It is true that bosses work long hours too but they should show their appreciation for the employees who contribute equally towards making their business - and the British economy - a success."
