Supertram Decision Damages the North East Economy - Brake

Commenting on the decision to axe the Leeds Supertram project Liberal Democrat Shadow Transport Secretary Tom Brake MP said: "Trams help tempt drivers out of their cars and they must be an integral part of any strategy to cut congestion.

"This decision will hinder the economic development of the north east and will hamper the Government's target of persuading more people to take public transport."
