Cameron Still Lacking Economic Credibility - Cable

4.42.55pm GMT Wed 14th Dec 2005

Responding to David Cameron's speech to the City today, Liberal Democrat Shadow Chancellor, Vince Cable MP said: "Admitting he was there on Black Wednesday is not enough for hard-working families to forget the damage the last Tory government inflicted.

"Cameron was the architect of the latest failed Tory manifesto that was built on the fantasy economics of the James Report.

"The 'triple lock' announced today amounts to nothing more than taking on board Liberal Democrat policy."
