ROVER COLLAPSE HIGHLIGHTS DTI INCOMPETENCE - DAVEY

1.16.15pm BST (GMT +0100) Tue 25th Jul 2006

Responding to today's Public Accounts Select Committee report into the collapse of Rover, Liberal Democrat Shadow Trade and Industry Secretary, Edward Davey MP said: "The evidence of incompetence and waste at the DTI is mounting.

"Key decisions about the future of Rover were taken just days before the general election. This raises questions about political interference at the expense of taxpayer's money."
