Government Energy Plans Outrageous - Howarth

Responding to the revelation that the £10m announced by the Government for investment in renewable technologies came from cutting funds for energy efficiency projects, Liberal Democrat Energy Spokesperson, David Howarth MP said: "This is outrageous. Both energy efficiency and greater use of renewables are crucial to combating climate change.

"By robbing Peter to pay Paul, the Government is proving that it is not serious about reducing Britain's carbon emissions."
