Network rail must stop spinning - Carmichael

12.00.00am BST (GMT +0100) Tue 3rd Apr 2007

Commenting on Network Rail's announcement today of new projects, many of which had already been planned, Liberal Democrat Shadow Transport Secretary, Alistair Carmichael MP said: "Rather than rehashing old announcements, Network Rail needs to get on with the job of improving Britain's railways.

"Its bosses have obviously decided to copy new Labour's tactics of spin. The only thing that needs spinning on the railways are the wheels on the trains."
